"The Ellery String Quartet, comprised of ANU School of Music students, delivered a mesmerizing performance that left the audience in awe. The quartet, consisting of Brad Tham, Anika Chan, Pippa Newman, and James Monro, showcased their exceptional musicianship and undeniable talent.

The evening began with Anton Webern's evocative composition, "Langsamer Staz," displaying the quartet's sensitivity and expressive depth. Caroline Shaw's "Plan and Elevation" followed, captivating the audience with its diverse and engaging musical styles.

The quartet truly shone during their rendition of Serge Prokofiev's "String Quartet No. 2," infusing it with vibrant energy and enchanting melodies. The performance concluded with an encore of Stephan Koncz's re-composition of Erik Satie's "Gymnopédie" No. 1, titled "Satiesfaction."
